Team United for Kiambu endeavours to ensure that Kiambu county resources are optimally utilized and equitably distributed, participatory governance is practiced, land related issues are addressed and mainly improve agricultural systems, infrastructure and healthcare building Kiambu to a model County in the country where people will access all services, are empowered economically, socially and politically.



HE. Ferdinand Waititu,
Nominated Governor - Kiambu County

Honourable Ferdinard Waititu commonly known as Baba Yao, a name acquired for his passion, energy and ability to work tirelessly especially for the less fortunate in society. He has a strong conviction for change towards empowering the youths. Hon. Waititu holds Bachelor of commerce degree, and currently pursuing an MBA (Human Resource Management), he has over 20 years of diverse experience in the public service. He worked as an accountant in national treasury and was later elected as a councillor during which period he served as a deputy mayor of the city of Nairobi. In addition, he was voted in as a Member of Parliament for Embakasi constituency which led to his appointment as an assistant minister for water. Hon. Waititu is currently the sitting MP for Kabete constituency.

Dr. James Nyoro,
Deputy Governor - Kiambu County

Honourable Dr. James Nyoro is an Agricultural Economist from Universities of Nairobi and London’s Wye College. He was the Managing Director, Rockefeller Foundation in charge of the African Region based in Nairobi, Kenya. Before joining the Rockefeller Foundation, He was the Executive Director of a Nairobi-based policy think tank, Tegemeo Institute, Egerton University. Dr. James Nyoro is currently an advisor to the Government of Kenya through the Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries. James is an expert on food security both locally and internationally and will bring in his vast experience to the team. James Nyoro is the best manager and Kiambu could ever have.

Rev. Dr. David K. Gakuyo
County Executive - Kiambu County

Rev. Dr David Kariuki Ngari (Gakuyo) is a well-known social entrepreneur driven by a strong passion to elevate the lives of the common Mwananchi through financial empowerment, affordable housing solutions and providing subdized technical training to the youth. Coming from a humble background, Gakuyo has made it from a hawker to whom he is today, he has made it his personal goal to improve and elevate the lives of those he touches. He brings with him a pure desire to see Kiambu become the leading county in terms of economic growth and financial strength. Being the chairman of the Clergy Association of Kenya, his trusted nature of management and integrity gives us an upper hand when it comes to fighting corruption and straightening our policies.
